Short Story: Bungaree - A Proud Aboriginal Australian
Bungaree was an Aboriginal Australian from the Kuringai people of the Broken Bay area, 3 miles north of Sydney. He came to prominence in 1798, when he accompanied Matthew Flinders on a coastal survey as an interpreter, guide, and negotiator with the local indigenous groups.
