I have taken this one step further and downloaded pictures of the nursery rhymes...on the back I wrote the words to them....there are heaps of them around and some I had never heard of. I did this in the dementia unit and got a great response. Other residents I did this with we spoke about the origins of some of them....which were quite gruesome in some respects.
This is great feedback, thank you Joanne. Even the lyrics of some very popular nursery rhymes can be quite dark, this always surprises me!

My residents really enjoy this. Lots of laughs. They amaze themselves that they can remember all the words so quickly
Love this. During one of our conversations at social hour the discussion turned to a nursery rhyme and we all said it together - but then moved on to something else. I'm excited to do this activity with my seniors and have us all reminiscing about the rhymes we know!
