Armchair Travel to India

I did the Armchair travel for the first time today and we 'went to India.'

My residents loved it. As I've been there a number of times I had a number of things I could show the people. I did a demonstration of dressing up in a sari and a henna tattoo demonstration on one of the care staff. It was a huge hit.

Looking forward to the next one.

This week we are getting ready for our 'Trip to India' and we are all looking forward to the new tastes and experiences we will be able to have on this journey.

Our Head Cooks are in preparation for the 'taster session' and we are buy getting the activity packs ready for our residents to turn our dining room into all things 'India'.

My residents love this activity! They stay engaged while seeing all the sights of the country we visit. They want to visit castles or mansions in America next. I thought I could throw a tea party with this!

We did henna tatoos on our day to India. I purchased the premixed packets of henna at an Indian goods store, We did a heart, surrounded by dots, and a simple leaf and vine. The activity was very popular.

My residents are interested on going on a Cruise for armchair travel!
