Thanks for accepting me into the group. I am a carer for my husband he is end stage kidney failure diabetes and has a false leg. So it is hard at times. I try and make a life for myself and joined the U3A and go on outings coffee mornings and I belong to the Lighthouse choir. We are having our first concert tonight and it is my first time taking part. It's at St.Pauls church Walliscote road Weston super mare somerset. 7.30pm to 9pm. There is no entry fee but it is £1 for a cuppa and cake. The charity raises money for the food bank and other charities.
To Margaret and others, For some reason, I am having trouble opening and responding to your comment. I am glad you are using the ideas on Golden Carers. You can always use the search box to look for specific ideas
I do not know if your husband is receiving hospice care. To me, it seems like he would qualify. There is not only support for him,but also for you and your family.
I just renewed my membership and going into my second year. When I got the notification that my first year was expiring, I knew I had to renew, there was no doubt in my mind. GoldenCarers is PRICELESS! As a DJ and mobile entertainer for over 38 years much of my business is with assisted living facilities and GoldenCarers has taken it above and beyond my competition. It always has something useful and too many to point out. I could no imagine running my business without GoldenCarers. You guys ROCK!
