Hi I am so glad to have signed up yesterday. I am a DT working in the dementia unit in Rangiora. I travel everyday from Chch which takes about 25 to 30 mind and because I am not familiar with places for outings along that way is there any suggestions for outings with residents Our outing days are Wed and Fri avo.Any suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks
Welcome Nancy and I am sure we can help you. There is a Scout Group in Rangiora. The Meeting Place is 30 Church Street South, Rangiora and I am sure that they would appreciate a visit from your group. Your residents could take part in some games, knot tying, Kim's game puzzles and other activities. If you reply to me I could give you more details of who, when, and how to make contact and discuss arrangements to visit the Keas, Cubs or Scouts Owen, Life Member Scouts New Zealand
There is a Scout Group in Rangiora who you could contact. The Group Leader is Linda Sanders at Email: [email protected]. For further information google Rangiora Scouts New Zealand. I am sure that they would appreciate a visit from your residents who could take part in some games like knot tying, Kim's Game, questions on Scouting, and other suitable activities for their ability. There are Keas, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers. I am sure there may be other clubs or organisations you could contact like people who have model railways or other hobbies your members could visit.
