Hi Tina, we hold a luncheon celebration each year for Veterans Day. One year we invited the local VA chapter to present awards to all of our veterans, the following year we had a local school ROTC provide blankets for each branch of the US armed forces. I think that a more formal event is well-received and can be a touching tribute to your veterans.
Memorial Day is set aside to honor and remember military personnel who have died. All military veterans are honored on Veterans Day (Nov 11) and Armed Forces Day (celebrated in May.)
