Hi Paula, The new Aged Care Standards replaced the old one. With the new one (July 1, 2019), the Government gives consumers (elderly people) more power. Residents complaints and feedback will be tightly scrutinized; verbal complaints, for instance, are to be documented and investigated, and the outcome results submitted to consumers. Having 'Policies in Place' won't be enough and 'Quality Review' will have no visits forewarnings every three years; care organizations will have to be ready at any time. The new Aged Care Standards is all about transparency and accountability regarding the care and support of each individual. Management will develop and implement new strategies for the workplace. You should soon see changes. Whether it will be successful remains to be seen.

Thank You Susan
I've been reading the new Quality Standards and so far understand all that you have replied.
What I'm not getting is slotting the old standards into the 1_8 New standards I think a lot of them crossover. I also think whatever my interpretation ,Management will
Come up with their own approach. I agree wether it works time will tell I think there is allot of things that need changing particularly staff to customer rachio .
Thanks again
