An amazing resource for anyone looking for ways to enrich the lives of the elderly. You provide an invaluable resource for anyone caring for the elderly, and I have appreciated every moment of our association.

HI, how would I write this paragraph objectively?
Richard is in the early stages of dementia and refuses to discuss moving into an aged care facility and becomes aggressive when the matter is raised. He is unrealistic about his understanding of his abilities to take care of himself and is at risk. thanks.
Hi Linda,
I would try to explain why Richard is reluctant to accept assistance. People often react with fear or anger when they think their interests are threatened. How about this:
"Richard has been diagnosed with early stage dementia and he is rather angry about the prospect of going into long term care. His feelings have been acknowledged and empathized with to diffuse strong emotions while negotiation takes place. Respite care is being considered as an introduction to long term care."
