I am new to this group. I have worked as an activity assistant in a carehome, but have just got a job as an activity coordinator in a new home opening in September. I am sooooo excited but very nervous too. I really want to be amazing at my job. This site is so useful. I have already made use of the weekly activity sheets. I am looking forward to having lots of refreshing idea's from everyone on here and also sharing my own ideas.
Hello Sarah, From an older Volunteer Social Co-ordinator, of over 30 years I would like to wish you all the best in your new home opening in September. I joined Golden Carers at the beginning of the year, and I enjoy it very much, I'm sure you will too. I have enjoyed all my volunteering positions, and as you say this is a great site for new ideas. It will help you a lot, and it is nice to hear that you will be sharing some of your own ideas to this site as well. Good luck Gwyneth
Wow Sara congratulations Being an activity coordinator is a lot more difficult than being an activity assistant However it sounds like you are extremely enthusiastic which is very important I wish you the best and look forward to answering any questions you may have again congratulations on being a new activity coordinator and also for being a member of this great golden Carers group

Hello, I have just renewed my membership after spending a year with Golden Carers. My residents in the home where I am Activities leader have totally enjoyed all the activities I have used from your website. I have used your newsletter templates, quizzes, word games, "This Day in History", painting pages, seasonal topics, and many more. Keep up the good work in helping us provide meaningful care for our precious residents that we are privileged to look after ✨️
