I have been having a sort out of the supplies cupboard and found an (unopened) Virtual Reality headset - the type where you have to put an iphone inside. Does anyone have any experience using these with seniors with dementia? Did they enjoy it?
I did try one for several residents, it was a boat trip, that they really enjoyed Make sure that your resident is comfortable using it. They must also be seated. I'm not sure if there is a warning against using them with certain medical condition eg epilepsy.
Hi Martin I thought I answered this question but apparently it didn’t go through Hey I think you are a lucky finding this I think this article will help you do not forget to read the comments because they are helpful also https://www.goldencarers.com/3-benefits-of-video-games-for-seniors/6460/
I really love your website. I still find it incredulous that this site exists. I know how hard it must be for our Lifestyle teams to keep coming up with ideas and activities and to now have found this site - WOW. I really do think it says a lot about the immense value of community collaboration - because this site is about that! so I am immensely proud that people, especially older people, may be benefitting from this wonderful resource all over the world.
If so, are there any programs you would suggest?
What a find
