We have an entertainer the last Friday of every month and combine it with our monthly birthday party. All the residents who have celebrated a birthday that months sit at a specially decorated table and all other residents are seated nearby. Staff encourage residents to have a dance and for those who can't get up or prefer not to, they also enjoy just watching. Some entertainers are better than others.
Hi Julie, concerts are great entertainers; depending on your budget you should have at least once a month, two if you have a celebration such as St Valentine's or Mother's Day on the same month.

Hi Julie, We have entertainers come for happy hour once per week, a sing-a-long with the piano every Sunday afternoon, and each quarter we have our own concert where the clients sing solos on the microphone and we also have group songs. Some family members also attend and a few of our entertainers enjoy coming to help and join in also. These are all good times. Joy
Hi Julie We have a volunteer singer/guitarist once a month, volunteer pianist once a month for singalong and a local group of singers bi-monthly who are also volunteers. We pay for a music therapist to come once monthly.
We have been a member of Golden Carers for the past 5 years and honestly, it makes our lives here both easier and more interesting!!! The hours it saves us when planning activities for our residents result in delivering quality activities. Our residents love the word searches and crosswords and the armchair travels have brought happy memories of holidays. Thank you for all you do!
