I am an OTA student at a nursing home. I need to create a facility improvement plan that would be beneficial for those who come down for rehab and have visual deficits. This can be handouts, but preferably something that can be used at the facility long after I leave. Any suggestions?

I think these articles and comments will help you

Also I think items need to be labeled in large dark print
Try to use the other senses during the therapy sessions
It also depends on what is there now
I don’t know if you do this or not but for leisure activities visually impaired residents can get a special recorder that plays talking books

You could probably borrow a player and show residents who need to use it
