I am going to arrange a Christmas Party in our ward. Last year, I had a music therapy who was helping me run this party with Music Karaoke. This year will be only myself. I am going to play some Christmas songs for party, and then ask residents to write down their wishes. Do you have any other ideas about what can I do in the party? I tried to held this party without boring.
See the Golden Carers 'Winter Wonderland Tea Party". You may not be able to do all that decorating as you are on your own, but some hot chocolate with candy canes, or hot apple juice (cider) with cinnamon sticks' along with some party chips (melt popcorn twists or melt cheezies) for all diet types. Put on the Christmas Carols on the TV or music box and have fun with it! You've got this!
As I'm new at coordinating activities for seniors with dementia, you have given a lot of ideas that I am using and plan on using. Golden Carers is one of its kind. Thank you
