Hi Bridget I have never done this, but it sounds like a parly with a lot of lively dancing Are your residents able to do this? Perhaps you could hire an entertainer Perhaps you can invite a square dancing group If you can't do that, then get a video or play lively music This might be a good thing to ask the golden carer Facebook group
Hi Bridget I LOVE doing this event. We decorated our main dining room with different western decorations....created a stage area, with hay on the floor and a saw horse with a saddle on it for our entertainer. We used wagon wheels, ropes, hay bales just to name a few for decorations. We uses checkered table cloths and served drinks from mason jars. our centerpieces were jars with sunflowers in them. Hope this helps...
This site is amazing! It has helped me so much over the last couple of months. My residents are big fans of your Arm Chair Travels. Keep up the great work!
I am putting a Hoe Down day on my September Calendar.
Does anyone have any ideas I can use. It's my first time throwing a Hoe Down.
