I am looking for ideas for name badges to put on the residents' walkers. Craft ideas that the residents could make themselves would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Dianne, There are so many possibilities with this. Most of our residents at my workplace have a laminated name tag and maybe an image of something they like, but others also have a personal sort of charm they have attached to their walker to identify it at a glance. Some of these include small crocheted or knitted charms like flowers or butterflies. If there is interest, you could incorporate this into name badges by crocheting or knitting a square and then attaching a name tag with it :)

Thank you,

Here is something really simple that you could tie on someone’s walker

I like Mandala art
You could use these templates or have the residents make their own template incorporate their name and hang it on their walker

Another idea would be to have them trace their hand I have them decorate it and tie it to their walker
What ever you decide to do make sure you laminated it so it will not get ruined
