Hi Kathryn. I use the calendar template here on Golden carers. It so easy to use, its colourful and seasonal. Printed on A3 size is perfect for the walls for the residents to veiw. It also allows for a weekend free caledar which is suited for activities at this place.
I use the calendar provided here, then I save it to my PC and increase the font size. I make the boxes are bigger, which creates 2 sometimes 3 pages and I add in the days of the week on the other pages. Eg: Monday Tuesday etc. I photocopy and expand to 100% for my 5 low vision residents on the big sheets of paper.
You're quite the special angel here to assist everyone. It takes a special kind of person to deal with seniors - they are not given the respect or credit they so deserve to have lasted this long on this earth. To have witnessed such history is amazing. So many are forgotten about and I try everyday to share RAOKs (Random Acts of Kindness) with any person I see that could use it - thank you again for the great ideas which I hope to spread around the area to help make others know how special they are.
Could I ask advice on making a monthly planner for residents to view. How do you do yours and what tools do you use to make one ?
Thank you x
