I work in an aged care facility that supports both high care and low care residents.. we would love to start a raffle monthly that can be won by both staff and residents.. any ideas on what we could raffle?
Why don't you run a mothers day raffle with like a blanket and robe but in colours that both male and females like

If anyone likes to sew there is a simple idea running a length of fabric long enough to fit across a single bed (36") plus pocket drops on either side deep enough to hold a magazine. The width is that of the pillow. This can be made in neutral colours with the fronts of the pockets in a colour to coordinate. These slip under the pillow and give storage for magazines a book and reading glasses etc. Could always include a block of chocolate that would also fit nicely!
Residents would be able to use them and staff whilst they may not have a single bed it would make an early start for Christmas present for a child or elderly relative.

Hand lotions / body products make lovely raffle gifts. Make up both female / male pamper packs. Also potted plants. Cheers Janlyn
I've been putting together a fortnightly raffle thats the same every fortnight it consists of a word find magazine, a coffee cup along with a couple of coffee sticks, crackers, a pkt of sweet biscuits and some other useful item like bed socks or beanbag. Its drawn during happy hour on a Friday and gives the winner some goodies for the weekend and something to do. (Wordfind) Good luck Kate
I am beyond excited to have been introduced to Golden Carers. I am thrilled about what this will mean for my residents. I am a HCA and just accepted another position as an Assistant Manager in a Supportive Living facility. Thank you for this wonderful site and all the resources.
