hi anita im sorry this is a bit late but maybe you could use it next time what I did is we made a memory tree with some branches from a tree put it in a planter or big pot then we made some poppies from card felt and one lady crochet some then we had a good old chat about the war and their memories and if they wanted to they could attach a note to their poppy and then put it on the tree on the day we put the tree in the middle of the room while watching it on the tele this went down very well
Remembrance Day Banner Posters and Biography Booklet of all our local Veterans. One example of all soldiers lost during war (so I do not identify a specific veteran without family permission)
My residents enjoy watching the service on the TV but I also show the DVD 'Goodnight Mr Tom' earlier in the week. Many of our residents are of the age group that were 'evacuated' to the country during the war.
I've always enjoyed using Golden Carers, especially This Day in History and Armchair Travel. I love how you have the site organized and it looks amazing!
