We made some Poppies today and the residents enjoyed it. We made it a group effort, some traced the CD, some cut out the circles and others sewed. It started great conversations and they all loved the finished product. Thank you so much for this activity.
We made these poppies but used black felt cut in circles and glued in the centre, Abit easier than sewing buttons and the residents were able to do it for me.
we made poppies out of paper and attached some garden wire and planted over a hundred poppies in our grounds it looked beautiful while we had our service all our families and residents loved the look, we also used them for remembrance day just the other day, how wonderful they looked and a big thankyou to all the men & women who have served our country and who are serving our country now you all a doing a great but very hard job but we all look up to you.
This is the link to Anzac Day website. They are organising for 5000 poppies to be made for 100 year anniversary. There is knitting and crocheting and crafting patterns.
Thank you so much for allowing us to share all the wonderful ideas that are on Golden Carers. It is so helpful, inspiring and they give our residents so much fun and the feeling of achievement once we have completed them. It is great that we can spread the days out and do a lot over time rather than in one session. THANK YOU ALL
