Hi. Does anyone know if there are any standards or official guidelines for activity Co-Ordinators anywhere?

Many thanks and I look forward to your answers

I work for Barchester Healthcare and they have their own booklet for information to support Quality Commission Inspections.

This looks at how we can provide evidence to support the five key areas;

Safe

Effective

Caring

Responsive

Well Led

Are you in the UK? I'm in the USA and the law says that those providing Activities have to take a class to become Certified. There are a lot of books that can be purchased that have guidelines, ideas, policies/procedures. I don't have any links that I can give you but you might try creativeforecasting.com and also medpass.com The second has many mannuals for all departments even though it's called Medpass.

So glad I found you, your site is such a blessing to me 😊. I have been a PCA for 17 yrs. I am in charge of making up the monthly calendar and coming up with new ideas. It was starting to be a real challenge. I encourage all my residents to join in daily but they need new things offered to hold their interest. So glad I took a chance and signed up with you!!! You're making my job a lot easier. Thank you and keep up the great work !! It's so appreciated.
