Yes we did I just cut them out of cardboard and then drew the bolt holes on after the residents painted them you can use blue cellophane in the middle of the rings

Cruise Ship Theme Day

This is great I did one with my facility but made it a week long cruise, visiting a different port everyday - heaps of work prior but the residents got involved with painting port holes etc. I also made a handbook to give each night with a peppermint that explained where we were going to next. Great ideas, keep it up people.

Rainbow Guided Meditation

There is also a similar one in the Starting Points for Activities and Programs / Books 1 & 2 - can't recall off the top of my head which one it is in, but it is a good one to use too and I find that residents are tended to be relaxed by the end of the session. Good work on putting this one together for us.

A great comment Owen and well done....bravo!! Once scouting and guiding are in your blood it never goes. The residents would remember being a part of likewise organisations too...eg Red Cross Brigade etc and these too have great ideas..give it a go everyone you and the residents will enjoy

Anzac Day Wreaths made from plastic spoons

I have used a Christmas wreath and made handmade poppies to go on it and we have used them for years, I have also added at times small red Christmas lights to the centre of the poppies.
