Xmas, yes it is coming and last year everyone received a good quality skin cream(men and women) This year all the residents will be asked to write a word in a christmas card and these will be given to another resident. The gift inside the card will be a book marker. Made from a paper clip using a cut length of grosgrain ribbon then fold the ribbon and loop through the sing end of the large paper clip looks great eary to see and it is the thought that counts and the residents will make these in craft workshop held weekly thanks hope this is helpful
Is there any DTS out there that wish to attend the Melbourne 2 two workshops and would like to share the cost and attending for the two days please contact if interested in doing this kind regards Linda [email protected]
I cook often with residents in our facility They love it and yes it is slow, they take turns with the mixing The smell of the cooking patty cakes fills the area so it covers sensory, in many faucets The residents wash up after the mixing and take pride in this part of the activity as most were home makers
Hello Patrica Here a couple you may find useful Folding up tea towels, the anti slip mats for shelving, satin squares, great sensory, this is good for the home makers in your care Winding up huge balls of wool ( the extra thick wool fashionable at the moment for making scarves) Wooden coat hangers unscrew the hooks and ask the residents to replace the hooks screw them back into the hangers cut lengths if small rope make three or four knots in the length of rope ask the men to help you with undoing the knots trust these ideas help you kind regards Linda

I’m loving your website, it’s been a great help to me over the last six months since I started my new role. Lots of hints and tips, great activities, and it’s great that we can contribute too. It’s fantastic to have such a universal source of information, how we have a common goal and language despite our worldwide locations. Thank you!
