Tongue Twisters & Tricky Teasers

You are so welcome John...so love our residents, and spend hours and hours trying to find new and fun stuff for them...they are all so precious...and consider all of them my family! I love to sew and started a sewing club. OWLS (older wiser lovelier souls) our facility has a bazaar in November, bring in local vendors so residents and family can purchase Christmas gifts.Owls will have their own booth....I do all of the sewing, but make it a social event..they love to see the finished products...have made lots of christmas stockings, walker tote bags etc.. all proceeds will go back into our community...I was bringing my own machine..but God love the facility..they bought one for our activity department, after the bazaar will continue to sew and have a drawing for the project completed for residents attending...so much fun!

Bow Ties for Father's Day and Special Events

I am doing this, this year, am taking fabric of each male residents hobby or former job, such as fishing, tools, teaching etc. fabric, so each will be personalized to their personalities..running a hem around the edge, works very well, no fraying on the edges.(.actually am making mine 14" x 14".) for a bigger bow tie, to see the fabric designs. I love the pattern so simple..was going to cut and sew and cut and sew..but this is awesome! Our ladies in our sewing and embroidery club can even help with folding them. We named our sewing club "OWLS" older, wiser, lovelier souls...and they sure are!
