Not sure if this is the correct area to post this, but we just started a Pen Pal group and would LOVE to hear from people all over the world. You can write us at:

Yes, I found a pattern on Pinterest. It gives you the blank template. I made colored copies, cut them out and stapled them together. It looks like a real passport (kind of - haha) and I fill in their information and cut out a picture of them. It comes with some stamps from countries around the world. I copied them, cut them out and each time we do an armchair travel, I pass out the passports (I hold onto them so they don't get lost) and after out activity, I collect them and put the stamp of that country in. The residents like to see how many "countries" they have visited. Very cute idea!!
Hi Sarah, I have a very visual resident who still WANTS to participate in most activities. This can be difficult, but i have been able to adapt some activities for her. I bought a large piece of foam board and drew a EXTRA, EXTRA large Bingo card. It probably measures about 24 in by 24 in. Much larger than the largest bingo card you can buy. I put letters & numbers that i made on my Cricut machine but you can use Address letters & numbers that you can buy at hardware stores. She has been able to memorize the numbers and can play independently. Another game she can play with minimal help is Shut the box. Someone has to tell her the total of the two dice she tossed, but then she can "feel" the numbers and flip them down. She can do this with minimal assistance, just watching if she is flipping down the correct numbers. Hope this helps.
Lisa, i am very interested in your exercise to music program. My program has become kind of stale, I guess you'd say. But it has to be a "chair based" program as most of my residents are in a wheelchair or use a walker. I have looked into some "canned" music exercise tapes, but they are too fast or to music they don't relate to. But they would LOVE the old time songs like New York, New York. Can you PLEASE explain your program to me?
Your website is wonderful! I use it almost on a daily basis. My people LOVE the word ladders! They can't get enough of them. I will continue using it as long as I'm working as an activities person!
