I am in the same situation as you. We play badminton with a birthday balloune. Play card games (Crazy 8 is an easy one) Play board games Singing and dancing (for those who can) Painting nails, Curling hair Knitting Bucket ball toss game Target toss (with mat on the floor) Crafting necklaces and bracelet with beads.
It really is an amazing idea !!! Thank you Diane ! I will need to find a way to adjust this activities since more than half of my residents are in wheelchair...
Hello everybody! I need suggestions... I work as a recreational therapist in 2 different centers. The organization I work for comes from the federal government. The ministry is asking us to have an activity program 7 days a week. Since I'm not in the 2 centers all week long, I would need your suggestions to find activities that caregivers and Beneficiary Attendants can do with the residents when I'm not there. Do you think of anything other than coloring, manicuring and playing a movie?
Hello everyone, I would like to start a newspaper about leisure activities. Someone would have a name to suggest me? I thought about: What's about Leisure? ... but I'd love to hear your ideas!
For me, I work with the same activities on the same day of the week. For example : - Monday: physical activity (Pockets, bowling, Target Toss, etc.) - Tuesday: Volunteer visit - Wednesday: Cognitive games and board games and bingo in evening - Thursday: Social activities (happy hour once a month, games, themed activities) - Friday: Occupational activities (Colouring, puzzle, button sorting) - Saturday: Music or movie night -Dimanche: Mass and Church services
My residents thoroughly enjoy all the games I have been collecting from your page for them. Thank you! I am very grateful as I find it a great help to be able to log in and find all these wonderful games for them. Thank you so very much.
