How to Learn a New Language with Residents

Has anyone tried the Learn a New Language and is it adaptable to learning Arabic or helping someone speaking Arabic to learn English??

I just love love love this site - each time I'm glued to the many and awesome ideas to engage with our seniors. I recently downloaded some of the crossword puzzles and these seniors are fabulous to work with.
That is just the tip of the iceberg. In this new chapter of my life, as semi-retired, I am so enjoying my time with seniors and watching them light up; I feel I've found a new niche. Thanks again Golden Carers - keep up the SUPER work!!!!!

DIY Musical Bingo

Hi, this site is new for me and is a super wonderful resource. We adapted this musical bingo to musical tic tac toe, though for the dementia residents, it was a bit of a challenge (though I thought it would be easy). We used songs as He's Got the Whole World, Daisy, Daisy, Clementine, and other familiar "folk" songs - it was great to see the expressions as we sang each song when the title was called.
