We are looking forward to Alzheimer's awareness week next week. The staff are all going to be wearing a forget me not T-Shirt and on Friday 19th Nay we are having a Tea party to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. We have a Forget me not display on a window and on the petals we have written specific words that mean something to us. Important words allowing daily life to continue how it should. Words such as - Dignity, choice, time, acknowledgement and happiness. All of the words were chosen by either the residents or the staff. A good way to get together and remember what we are all about and how we should go about our daily lives.
I can always find something great for our residents to do. Some of the quizzes are brilliant. Some are a little too difficult but we give then a go. My residents are especially good at finishing off the sentence or saying. Thank you, Amanda
I truly am so grateful I have found this group. I am looking forward to your emails everyday and it feels like it has given me a new lease on my working life as I went through a rough patch for a while. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you do!
