Morning! I have been keeping a 'journal' of the likes, dislikes, etc. of new residents to our community. I would prefer a consistent format and found the attached but it is sooooo pricey. What do you all use for this process?
I do monthly and distribute to those whom would like one. Then I have one laminated at the Nurses' Station and have a huge - 4' by 5' full color - that is hung on the bulletin board. If there are changes, which happens a lot when you work in a Convent - I just hang a note at the Nurses' Station and on the dining room door stating necessary changes for that day - - and I don't hang it too early, usually by 8:00 the day that the changes occur.
Susan's ideas are great! And I love that Dollar Tree or other dollar stores offer so many of these things to make it more affordable. I order things like that online from dollartree.com and have them shipped to my local store so shipping is free! I love basket ideas but believe sometimes less is more and makes it feel special since you made it 'just for them'. Bows are a great addition and allow for festive decor but also a big space filled. Good Luck!
We use ideas from YouTube. We have done the dancing in the chairs but they really love TaiChi which offers seated, standing and standby options. I am the only activity staff for 35 women so I use the YouTube to help show while I walk around and physically assist the visually impaired, demonstrate if needed and all around 'watch' in the event of an emergency.
