Hello Debra, for staff appreciation I called on our 3rd party vendors and after all the donations I got gift bags and split up all the items so everyone could have a couple of gifts then I wrote thank you notes and placed them in the bags as well. I also found a masseuse to come and give everyone 20-30 minutes massages. I also did a "theme" gift and dress days. For example Monday was "I would be blue with out you" Everyone had to wear something blue and I passed out blue packets of orbit gum. "Thanks a latte" and I passed out iced lattes to everyone (we have a lot of coffee drinkers). For more ideas you can check out Pinterest. Hope this helped!!
Hey everyone just wondering what ideas or concepts everyone has came up for " GRANDPARENTS DAY". If your hosting a party what activities will the residents and family be doing? If you have a school coming in what will the activity be for interaction? I don't have anything in place yet still brainstorming.
Thank you Brittany for some of these ideas. Susan, for some more information on my residents likes and dislikes, my residents can be high maintenance and very picky. They love bingo and love music entertainers. They usually have 10 am fitness class on a DVD and they love that in their routine and don't want it to be changed. They do not care for the WII AT ALL. However, my RD would like more 9am and 11am activities. I am trying to brain storm but sometimes i get stuck.
Hey everyone I have been having trouble trying to think of some 9am and 11am activities other then "coffee and chat" and the "Walking club". Any ideas? recommendations?
