I have started a penpal system with a Canadian centre. This year we have sent exchanges via email and also snail mail. It has been very enriching on both ends. The local scout group also sent letters to the residents. I hope you get yours up and running. Good luck.

I can say we start at 10.30 with an exercise class assisted by the physio and then a quiz,jokes, trivia or short stories to take out the morning. We then start another program in the afternoon which could be school visits,entertainment, puzzles,singing or colouring in. We also do armchair travel every month and the craft for this precedes this. We have a footy tipping competition and a lotto draw that we do

I have just started a Mens group for the Men to chat to each other. I provide savoury food and hot drinks. They just talk. They just decided they would like to go out to the local bowls club for Fathers Day and the ladies are making a craft item to give them for fathers day

Just wanted to say thank you to Golden Carers have improved my program so much with using your ideas. Also l used the forum to ask for Penpals and we have been corresponding with a Facility in Canada and it has been rewarding on both sides.
