Hello you all, I've been doing activities with older adults for some time now. I have worked in both assisted living and in memory care. I recognize the importance of hearing what others find most successful and rewarding to their peeps. I have just taken a job as engagement director of memory and al at a brand new community. This community is trying to raise the bar in senior care. Please will you provide a list of the essential programs for AL and memory care, so I can roll those out promptly. Thanks!
Hello, I am the memory care manager at a small community with mainly late stage dementia residents. Do you have ideas for activities for my staff to do with them? In my previous community, I did noodle ball, bingo, some tv apps/games, sing-alongs, name that tune, exercise, scenic rides, had entertainment, crafts, patio time, word jumble, guess the spice, bowling, balloon toss, basketball, parachute, putt putt, dog therapy, coloring, and puzzles. Do you have any other ideas?
Golden Carers has made creating our monthly rosters so much easier with fantastic ideas, games and quizzes to keep my Day Club members entertained and the brain ticking over. Thank you, the membership fee even for our small volunteer group is money well spent. :)
